We use your information to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Your community posts and replies, and your name on them, are visible to other StudMac students. Direct messages are only between you and the connection you are messaging. Study group messages and member lists are visible only to the members of that group. Your recorded results, CGPA, payments and study plans are private to you.
StudMac relies on trusted providers that handle data on our behalf, only for the purposes below:
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and the app keeps your sign-in in your phone’s secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who on our team can access it.
We keep your information for as long as you have a StudMac account. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information, except payment records, which we may need to keep for accounting and legal reasons.
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent for optional things like push notifications at any time in your phone settings. You can update most of your details in your profile. Department and level changes go through a quick review.
To request a copy of your data or to delete your account, email studmacofficial@gmail.com from your registered email address.
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email when the change is important.
